Corporate Picnics & Parties

My basic charge for a birthday party is $300 for a minimum of 1 hour and the birthday location is within the southern Puget Sound area including the Kitsap Peninsula.  Metropolitan Seattle and points north is $50 extra.  The same applies to Olympia south to the Oregon border.  The Washington ocean coast is also included in the plus fee.

I not only bring more than one pony, I bring different sizes in order that children of all sizes; of any age can ride.  If your party is being held off your property of land that you control, it is your responsibility to obtain any required permission or permits.  I can provide proof of insurance but one note, if required to issue a "named insured" to a third party, a $56 surcharge must be paid by you.

A minimum deposit of 50% is required along with any surcharge which must be paid-in-full before I book your party and lock it into my calendar.  Please check with me for availability prior to booking.  Any fee outstanding will be collected in legal tender by party's end.

I will be pleased to offer you an opportunity to enhance your child's party with pony portraits as seen on this website of mine.  I can provide full costumed portraits taken and printed at your party or if digitally enhanced delivered later after being printed by Printroom.com a high quality online lab.  You have the option of paying a discounted price and providing a photo for each child attending or have the parents pay either then or later via secure electronic payment through Pay pal.  Brochures will be provided for you to pass out.

Hay Rides

I do hay rides at parties and special events along with fairs & festivals.  My wagon is 3 1/2 wide and 10 feet long including the pony.  I bought the wagon from a gentleman out of Hilmor in California's San Joaquin Valley.  He was in his late 50's then.  He told of traveling around the valley as a young lad with his dad selling watermelon out of the wagon.  Like many wagons, the wood is changed frequently as well as the wheels by the late 1980's the tires were from a Datsun (12"ers) and wheelbarrow sized farm implement rubber on the front.  A 5th wheel, the rig will nearly turn in its tracks.

Later as I ramble on about life on asphalt pulled by horse I will tell of my ol goat cart and how it improved my financial fortunes.  It also reminded me of the kindness and generosity of the horsemen and horsewomen I met boogying along the highways and byways of the Golden State.

At events I charge by the ride and most times give a little to get the family in the wagon too.  At parties and events.  I adjust my rate when hayrides are wanted and special care is needed to ensure there is safe space for the rides to take place.  Pricing is negotiated based on distance, number of potential riders and difficulty of site. Next season I plan on putting a pioneer style canvas cover on my wagon and use it for a studio prop for my pony portraits.
