Peanut Butter is my latest family member to "enlist" (so to speak) when his previous owners approached me
at a small festival in Yelm, WA asking me if I wanted a pony. I asked at least three times if this meant that
dreaded word "free" well knowing lunch is never truly that way. The wife was taking her discharge from the
Army and they were moving back to their home state of Montana with two horses but did not want to take the
pony. Late that afternoon in July of 2003 he took me to his place and in one look I knew that dappled chestnut
needed me as well as I needed him although he was in fine physical condition.
I brought him to the park that early evening and was working him with the children that Sunday. He is not spooky but was heavily head shy, blended well into the herd but my Peanut butter is fun to catch! (No free lunch strikes again).
