Britches is part of a twosome from the same homestead, stable mates as it's said. He is a treasure to me
this island strain Shetland. I firmly believe the blocky, donkey-stubborn island strain Shetland is the best
child's pony. Not as pretty (refined as the breeders say) this line simply means smart enough not to get into
trouble which keeps the child out of deep water also. This famed or ill famed as some people are prone to
declare pony is hard to groundwork and a bit lazy but also phlegmatic and prone to good health. Breeders
have bred the welsh into this line creating the more horsy looking American Shetland of which Britches's
stable buddy is and I have the papers to boot.
